The Evolution of Former LPGA Player Cheyenne Woods: A Career in Review

Former LPGA player Cheyenne Woods through the years

Cheyenne Woods, an experienced professional golfer and niece of Tiger Woods, celebrated her 34th birthday on July 25, 2024. She first met MLB center fielder Aaron Hicks during an interview for her podcast, “Birdies Not BS.” Hicks played golf from ages 5 to 13 before transitioning to baseball, and he attributes much of his improved short game to Woods. The power player on the golf course, Hicks impressed Woods years ago with an ace at Scottsdale’s Silverleaf Club on a 303-yard par-4 using a 3-wood. The couple tied the knot in 2022 and now have two children.

Debuting as a rookie on the LPGA in 2015, Woods secured her first victory at the 2014 Volvik RACV Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour. Despite not currently holding status on the LPGA, Woods expressed that she is not looking to return to full-time play. However, she does envision herself attempting to qualify for another U.S. Women’s Open or participating in events occasionally. Woods emphasized the importance of family and cherishes the opportunity to spend quality time with her children after experiencing the loss of her older brother unexpectedly.
