The Golf League (TGL) Unveils 2025 Schedule, with Exclusive TV Coverage on ESPN

TGL announces schedule for 2025, including TV details on ESPN

The venue in Palm Beach Gardens is in the final stages of being completed. The technology is being installed.

And now, TGL, the interactive golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, has released its inaugural schedule.

All systems are go for opening night, Jan. 7.

The league, which consists of six teams each comprised of four PGA Tour stars, will debut at the 1,500-seat SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College with New York Golf Club facing The Bay Golf Club at 9 p.m ET.

New York’s roster includes Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Cameron Young. They will face the Bay’s Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee and Shane Lowry.

Woods makes his TGL debut with Jupiter Links GC in Week 2 (Jan. 14) at 7 p.m. Tiger’s team, which includes Max Homa, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner, matches up against Los Angeles GC and Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose.

Atlanta Drive GC with Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover debuts Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. against New York.

McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf plays its first match Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. against Jupiter. McIlroy’s team includes 2025 U.S. Ryder cup captain Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama.

Mike McCarley, CEO and Founder of TMRW Sports, which owns TGL, calls the league “a live, courtside experience for golf on an unprecedented scale.”

The 15-match regular-season schedule runs through March 4. This includes one match each of the first five weeks, four matches the week of Feb. 17 — including a Presidents’ Day tripleheader — and three matches each of the next two weeks, Feb. 24 and March 3.

The teams will chose three players to participate each week. All matches will be televised by ESPN and ESPN2.

Players will hit their tee shots off a platform into a giant screen 35 yards away. Approach shots will be hit from an area 21 yards from the screen. The forward platform is used once the simulator says the ball is 140 yards from the green.

When the ball has reached the green area, a spotlight shines on the spot where the ball must be placed. The players then chip and putt as if playing on a regular course. Under the green are 600 actuators that will alter the undulations for each hole, and a turntable that changes the position of the green and the three real bunkers that surround the green.

TGL will incorporate 30 different holes designed by renowned golf course designers.

The holes are inspired by different authentic landscapes such as links, canyons, coastal, desert and tropical without the constraints of traditional golf course design. Some are realistic, others only possible in a virtual world.

Every shot will be tracked by eight sensors attached to four poles, two on either side. The number of sensors allows for the most accurate trajectory and most accurate shot from the fairway, rough and sand.
