The PGA Tour returns to a calendar-year season for 2024, and there are plenty of changes in the schedule, including purses, Signature Events and more…
There will be eight ‘Signature Events’ on the PGA Tour calendar for 2024. It begins with The Sentry in the first week of the year. The Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage, Wells Fargo Championship, The Memorial, and the Travelers Championship are the other ‘Signature Event’s this year.
These events will all feature much higher prize money than before, with the Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Memorial victors all picking up $4 million. Meanwhile, the winner of the FedEx Cup will take home the huge figure of $25 million.
Jay Monahan, the PGA Tour commissioner, said: “We are excited about the roll-out of the PGA Tour’s reimagined schedule and what the season will offer to our fans: a January start with stars competing head-to-head more often, alongside the weekly drama of life-altering moments and the emergence of new stars.”
“While winning on the PGA Tour continues to be the ultimate – and most difficult – challenge, we have further connected every tournament, with more at stake each week. From The Sentry through the FedExCup Playoffs and into the soon-to-be-announced FedExCup Fall, this new, cadence will create consistent excitement for our fans and reward players like never before.”
