Over the past few years, the Baltimore Ravens haven’t had a lot of luck at the running back position, with multiple players at the position going down with severe injuries and being unable to perform for the storied franchise during the regular season and into the NFL playoffs.

During this NFL offseason, Baltimore addressed their issue with having undependable players in terms of availability coming out of the backfield, as they made one of the biggest signings in NFL free agency with the addition of superstar running back Derrick Henry.

The addition of Henry should help make the Ravens one of the best offenses in the league once again, as he will be backed up by fellow back Justice Hill while also having the threat of superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson being the best runner in the NFL at his position.

Keaton Mitchell, who last season suffered an ACL tear, will be put on the PUP list to start training camp, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Last season, which was his rookie year in Baltimore, Mitchell rushed for 396 yards and two touchdowns on 47 carries while also catching nine passes for 93 receiving yards.

Although these aren’t monster numbers for a running back in the NFL, it’s not half bad for a rookie at the position, especially on a team stacked with talent offensively, so his presence could be missed depending on how much time he’ll be out.
