Three British women reached the quarter-finals of the Rothesay International at Eastbourne on Wednesday with impressive victories. Emma Raducanu defeated World No 5 Jessica Pegula, Katie Boulter took down 2021 champion Jelena Ostapenko, and Harriet Dart outlasted Grand Slam winner Sofia Kenin.

Raducanu’s victory was particularly remarkable as she came back from a set and break down to upset Pegula. The 2021 US Open champion displayed incredible resilience to win 4-6 7-6[6] 7-5 after a grueling 2 hour and 30 minute match.

Boulter, on the other hand, dominated against Ostapenko, firing 21 aces in a big-serving battle. The British No 1 claimed a 6-4 7-5 victory to advance to her joint best appearance in Eastbourne.

Dart also impressed with a hard-fought win over Kenin in a three-set battle. After securing a bagel in the deciding set, she emerged victorious with a score of 6-3 6-7(3) 6-0.

All three British women will compete in the quarter-finals, with Raducanu facing Daria Kasatkina, Boulter taking on Jasmine Paolini, and Dart squaring off against Leylah Fernandez. It promises to be an exciting round of matches as these talented players continue their impressive run at the tournament.
