Tiger Woods Makes Stops at Valhalla and Trout National in Preparation for PGA Championship

Tiger Woods visits Valhalla, Trout National ahead of PGA Championship

Tiger Woods has been keeping busy lately.

Recently, Woods was promoting his new line of Sun Day Red apparel, which officially launched for sale. He appeared on The Tonight Show and The Today Show to showcase the new line.

During his time in New York City, Woods took a break to visit the construction progress at Trout National – The Reserve, a golf course being built in Vineland, New Jersey, for Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout by Woods’ design firm. Woods expressed his excitement about the progress and assured Trout that everything was going smoothly. However, it seems Trout is currently recovering from knee surgery.

Moving on to this week, Tiger is back to business in preparation for the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville from May 16-19. He visited the course where he previously won one of his Wanamaker trophies in 2000.

The PGA Championship’s official social media account shared multiple pictures of Woods practicing at the course. This will be his first tournament since the Masters, where he finished last.

During his media appearances, Tiger mentioned his intention to play in one major tournament per month. As he aims for his 16th major win, analysts like Andy North believe each tournament becomes more favorable for Woods as the season progresses. Memories of past successes at Valhalla could help him in this tournament.

North emphasized the importance of Woods’ recent performance, physical condition, and favorable weather conditions, especially for his short game skills. Woods, who last won a major at the 2019 Masters and the PGA Championship in 2007, will be looking to add another title to his storied career.
