Former player Rafael van der Vaart, known for his time with Tottenham, Real Madrid, and the Netherlands, has made a case for Liverpool to consider letting Mohamed Salah leave the club.
The Egyptian forward’s relationship with manager Arne Slot has been strained after he was left out of the squad, resulting in Salah publicly expressing his dissatisfaction and criticizing the manager.
After being sidelined, Salah was omitted from the lineup as the club supported Slot’s decision strongly. His performance this season has not met expectations, especially considering his stellar contributions to the team’s previous league title win.
Van der Vaart’s Thoughts on Salah’s Future
Van der Vaart commented that Salah’s speed appears to have diminished and believes it might be best for both the player and the club if he were to move on.
