A green jacket one week and a tartan one the next – that is how Scottie Scheffler rolls his Titleist Pro V1s these days! Another superb performance that saw him climb to the top of the leaderboard after a 63 in Round 3 and powered on home to eventually win by 3 shots. But what balls were the top five players playing over the week? Below shows what those finishing in the top five were teeing up and how it changed throughout the week.
Titleist has once again dominated with only the Srixon Z Star Diamond being the only non-Titleist golf ball used by anyone from the Top 5 by the end of the week. Amongst the final Top 5 it was the Titleist Pro V1x that featured the most – 5 of the 8 players making up the Top 5 opting to play that version of the Titleist ball. Whilst the Pro V1x might have been the most popular, the 1st and 2nd players (Scheffler and Theegala) both played the Titleist Pro V1, The only non-Titleist ball to feature in the eventual Top 5 was the Srixon Z Star Diamond played by Sepp Straka.
