Ajla Tomljanovic will continue her comeback at Wimbledon.

Two-time Wimbledon quarterfinalist Tomljanovic has been awarded a main-draw Wimbledon wild card, the All England Lawn Tennis Club announced today.

The 31-year-old Tomljanovc reached back-to-back Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2021 and 2022.

Last week, Tomljanovic reached the Birmingham final grass bowing to Yulia Putintseva.

It was Tomljanovic’s first Tour-level final since the 2019 Hua Hin.

Last February, Tomljanovic announced she would be putting her tennis career on hold after undergoing surgery to remove non-cancerous tumors from her uterus.

“Hello everyone, unfortunately, I won’t be competing for a couple of weeks … was very much looking forward to the next hard court events,” Tomljanovic said in an Instagram post accompanied by a photo of her flashing a peace sign from a hospital bed.

“I had to get some uterine fibroids removed and will be watching from home while healing. Will be back soon.”

Contesting her fourth tournament since that surgery, Tomljanovic came up big in Birmingham and was rewarded with the Wimbledon wild card.

Four of the eight Wimbledon ladies’ wild card recipients—Angelique Kerber, Naomi Osaka, Briton Emma Raducanu and Caroline Wozniacki—are former Grand Slam champions. Osaka, Kerber and Wozniacki each returned to the pro Tour after giving birth.

Four British women—Francesca Jones, Yuriko Lily Miyazaki, Heather Watson and Raducanu—received main-draw wild cards.

The Wimbledon main draw is set for July 1-14th.
