The Los Angeles Dodgers are advancing to the World Series after defeating the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series.

Sunday’s game six victory saw the Dodgers take the series four games to two with another blowout of the Mets.

Dodgers’ utility player Tommy Edman was named the NLCS Most Valuable Player, which might come as a surprise with all of the big names in this Dodgers lineup.

Edman had an honest admission about batting cleanup with all of the star power on this team.

Edman described the jokes that the team made as it was announced that he would be in the cleanup spot.

With names like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Teoscar Hernandez on the roster, it is understandable that Edman was shocked about his spot in the lineup.

Edman came through in the cleanup spot, however, as he had two hits in five at-bats with one home run, two runs scored, and four runs batted in on Sunday.

The Dodgers are moving on to play the New York Yankees in an attempt to win their eighth World Series title in franchise history.

If Freeman is back in the lineup for game one, it would appear that Edman would move back down in the lineup.

Edman’s performance gives fans an idea of just how deep this Dodgers lineup is, and they are all capable of coming up with the big home run.

Game one will take place on Friday at Dodger Stadium.
