The PGA Tour’s best players are in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the sixth signature event of the season, the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club. With the PGA Championship up next on the schedule, this week will serve as the final tune-up for the year’s second men’s major championship.

With Scottie Scheffler at home, world No. 2 Rory McIlroy is the highest-ranked player in the field and returns to a golf course that has been kind to him over the years. His first Tour win came here in 2010, and he added two more victories in 2015 and 2021. In his last start, McIlroy won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside his good buddy Shane Lowry.
