Everyone loves a good top-five list, especially when it comes to the best NFL players at a particular position.

Pittsburgh Steelers rising star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. recently gave his list of the league’s top five NFL cornerbacks while speaking with insider Jordan Schultz.

“There’s a lot of good corners. I think Sneed. I think he’s like that. McDuffie, I feel like he’s a baller. Jaylon Johnson from the Bears. I think he’s a dog. Surtain’s like that…I’ll probably throw me in there, obviously,” Porter Jr. told Schultz.

This is a very solid list of defenders for sure.

L’Jarius Sneed was traded to the Tennessee Titans from the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason before signing a massive four-year extension worth over $76 million.

The two-time Super Bowl winner has 40 pass deflections and over 300 combined tackles in four career seasons.

Current Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie is coming off of his first All-Pro season.

He proved his versatility by recording 80 total tackles, three sacks, seven pass deflections and nine quarterback hits.

Chicago Bears All-Pro cornerback Jaylon Johnson signed a four-year extension worth $76 million earlier this offseason after turning in a career-high four interceptions and allowing the second-least amount of completions in his career last year (32).

Patrick Surtain II is one of the cornerstone pieces in Denver.

The two-time Pro-Bowler has recorded 10+ pass deflections in all three of his NFL seasons and has seven total interceptions.

Finally, even though he is entering just his second season, Joey Porter Jr. is turning into a great player.

The All-Rookie performer allowed an opposing completion percentage of just 47.6% and recorded 10 pass deflections in only 11 games starting.

He is on the come-up.
