Top Players Sabalenka, Raducanu, and Jabeur Shine at Recent Tournament

The 2024 Citi Open has a challenging spot in the calendar this year, coinciding with the Olympic Games in Paris. Despite this, the WTA 500 tournament in Washington managed to attract a strong field of players from July 29th to August 4th. With top players opting out of the Olympics due to surface change concerns, the Citi Open boasts a solid lineup.

Aryna Sabalenka leads the pack as the top seed, with notable players like Daria Kasatkina, Madison Keys, and Ons Jabeur also set to compete. Russian and Belarusian athletes, including Victoria Azarenka and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, are among those choosing Washington over Paris.

Local favorites like Madison Keys, Sloane Stephens, and Sofia Kenin will also be in attendance, providing fans with plenty of homegrown talent to support. Despite the absence of Coco Gauff, the tournament promises exciting matches and fierce competition.
