Arsenal are interested in signing the Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez this summer.
According to a report from HITC, his performances for the Cherries have seen him linked with a summer move to Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to snap him up for a fee of around £40 million, although it remains to be seen whether Arsenal are ready to pay up.
Other clubs, such as Chelsea and Manchester United, are also interested in signing the Hungarian defender. Both Chelsea and Manchester United have watched the 20-year-old this season. The 20-year-old has proven himself in the Premier League with Bournemouth and is considered good enough to join the biggest clubs in the country. Arsenal are looking for alternatives to Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares, who are expected to move on permanently.
Man United and Chelsea want Kerkez
Meanwhile, Manchester United are in need of an upgrade on Tyrell Malacia, who barely featured last season. Kerkez, who is well-settled in the Premier League, could be the ideal acquisition for the Red Devils.
Chelsea, on the other hand, paid a substantial amount of money for Marc Cucurella, but the former Brighton defender has been underwhelming since moving to Stamford Bridge. The Blues require more quality and depth in that area, and the 20-year-old Bournemouth star could compete with Ben Chilwell for the starting spot.
For the young defender, the opportunity to join some of the biggest clubs in the world will be attractive, but he must choose a club where he will get regular first-team action. Sitting on the bench at this stage of his career is not an option for him.
