NFL legend Torry Holt has been on the doorstep of the Pro Football Hall of Fame for a while now. The former wide receiver has been a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist in each of the last five seasons. He recently joined Up & Adams to chat about what is keeping him out of Canton. Host Kay Adams brought up how the fact that a lot of Holt’s St. Louis Rams teammates such as Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, etc. all got in and that could possibly hurt his candidacy. “I’m not sure…It could be. But that’s not my fault…I still had to go out and do a job,” Holt said.

Holt was a seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver and an All-Pro. He led the league in receiving twice and is a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. He recorded at least 80 receptions and 1,000 yards in each year from 2000-2007. There is no doubt that Torry Holt should have a bust in Canton, Ohio right now. Isaac Bruce, Holt’s teammate for a long time in St. Louis, only made four Pro Bowls but still got inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Holt has more receiving yards than Pro Football Hall-of-Famers such as Andre Reed, Michael Irvin, and Calvin Johnson. He has more catches than Pro Football Hall-of-Famers such as Steve Largent and James Lofton. It is odd that it has taken the legend this long to be voted into Canton.
