Trae Young reflects on unexpected success: “We never expected to be where we are now”

Here’s Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young talking about the impact of injuries on their season/not making enough plays following last night’s 131-116 play-in tournament road loss vs. the Chicago Bulls.

(via Atlanta Hawks):

“At the beginning of the year, we didn’t feel like we’d be in this position. Obviously injuries made it tough on us, and we were still able to be in this position and give ourselves a chance. We just didn’t come out and make enough plays tonight. That’s part of it, they were making a lot of plays. Coby [White] got going, [Nikola] Vucevic was playing really well. Everybody played really well, so you gotta tip your hats to them. It’s tough.”
