Trail Blazers will file a protest to dispute their loss against OKC

The Portland Trail Blazers are protesting their 111-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, claiming that head coach Chauncey Billups called a timeout before a referee called a travel on Malcolm Brogdon.

Despite leading 109-108 at the time, Billups received two technical fouls and was ejected. The crew chief explained that the timeout wasn’t granted because Billups was behind the referee, making it difficult to see and hear the request. The NBA has five days to decide on the protest.
