The 2024 NFL season started with a bang as the Kansas City Chiefs edged the Baltimore Ravens in the opener, and the Philadelphia Eagles were able to hold off the Green Bay Packers in Brazil.

Now, the rest of the league will get its chance to hit the field in Week 1 of the new regular season.

There are plenty of teams aiming to make a run at the playoffs, though all eyes seem to be on the Houston Texans, who are expected to make another leap in 2024.

Houston took the league by storm last season with new head coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, and the organization added reinforcements on both sides of the field this offseason, signaling they’re serious about making a Super Bowl run.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce have been around football for a long time, and the podcast partners mentioned Houston’s game against the Indianapolis Colts as a Week 1 matchup they’re looking forward to.

“Texans at Colts, I think this is going to be a fun one, man,” Travis Kelce said, via “New Heights.”

“Without question,” Jason Kelce said. “The Texans are gonna be on my multiview every week as long as C.J. Stroud’s playing because I think he’s one of the best young quarterbacks in the league and I wanna watch what he’s doing.”

The brothers had nothing but praise for Stroud but also acknowledged the Colts are a good team that will be able to compete in the AFC.

The battle between two AFC South rivals will be interesting to watch to see which one comes out on top.
