The NFL is already looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft as it likely will feature several high-level prospects that teams could build around.

One of the most exciting names to watch is Colorado’s two-way superstar Travis Hunter, who is off to a strong start to the season.

The Buffaloes have been heavily reliant on Hunter on both sides of the field as he excels as a wide receiver and defensive back.

In the history of the game, there haven’t been many players who can dominate in both phases like Hunter can, which is why he is almost certainly a lock to go early in next year’s draft.

However, former NFL defensive back Richard Sherman hasn’t been as impressed with Hunter on offense, going as far as calling him a bland receiver.

Hunter apparently became aware of Sherman’s comment and was recently seen sporting a shirt in response.

“Travis Hunter rocking a shirt with the word ‘bland’ across the front after Richard Sherman said this week of Hunter … ‘as a receiver (Travis Hunter’s) kind of bland,’” James Palmer of Underdog wrote on X.

It’s quite the move from Hunter to address Sherman’s comments, and the young prospect looks motivated to prove the former NFL star wrong.

For Sherman’s part, he posted a good-natured response to social media.

Hunter might not be considered the best of the best at the wide receiver position, but he does more than enough for the Colorado offense.

The upcoming game against UCF is a tough matchup for Colorado, but it will be exciting to see what Hunter does on the field after Sherman’s critique.
