Heading into the Super Bowl on February 11, there will be plenty of hype surrounding several star players set to take the field at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with a lot of notable names on both teams on both sides of the football.

Although the battle between quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Brock Purdy will likely dominate the storylines coming into the big game next week, it will also be an epic showdown between two of the best tight ends in the NFL today.

The San Francisco 49ers have a star catching passes at the tight end position in veteran George Kittle, while the Kansas City Chiefs have an equally dangerous player at tight end in Travis Kelce.

With both players currently battling it out for the distinction as the best player in the league at their position, Kelce believes that Kittle is the NFL’s best tight end right now, via Coach Yac.

“He’s the best tight end in the league and deservingly so this year,” Kelce said of Kittle.

Even though Kelce gives the nod to Kittle for being the best tight end in the league today, the Chiefs superstar has bigger goals, as he’s striving to be the best tight end of all time and edge out New England Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski.

Kelce will be working on winning his third Super Bowl next week, while Kittle will be looking for his first, which is a pretty big separation between the two veterans.

If Kelce does end up winning another title, he’ll be only one behind Gronkowski, who finished his career with a fourth title playing alongside longtime teammate Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
