The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season and the fourth time in five seasons.
While the team is mostly the same at the biggest positions, the Chiefs have a new high-profile supporter in international pop star Taylor Swift, who is dating tight end Travis Kelce.
She’s attended a lot of games this year and could watch the Chiefs play at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, but Kelce won’t be able to support her when she attends the Grammys this weekend.
While Kelce said he’d love to be there for his partner, he told ESPN’s Pat McAfee that the Super Bowl comes first, via a video shared on Twitter.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award she’s nominated for,” Kelce said, “… Unfortunately, I got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we got in a week.”

This is completely understandable for Kelce considering this is the biggest game of the season and can affect his legacy in NFL history.
The Chiefs have fared well in games Swift has attended, though, as they won the past two playoff games with her watching from the team suite with the rest of Kelce’s friends and family.
Fortunately for the couple, the NFL season will be over after the Super Bowl and then can finally spend more time with each other away from the field.
Perhaps now Kelce can go to all of Swift’s shows in the same way she support him at his games.
