Travis Kelce Reveals How 1 NFL Team Spoiled His Holiday Season Last Year

Travis Kelce Says 1 NFL Team Ruined His Christmas Last Season

There were many years, decades even, when the NFL would not play games on Christmas Day after a lengthy early 1970s contest enraged some meal preparers who could not get their families to the dinner table.

Those days are past, however, and the NFL treated the nation to the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders last December 25.

But for Travis Kelce, star tight end and boyfriend to pop superstar Taylor Swift, the day was a disaster when the defending Super Bowl champs lost 20-14.

In typical Kelce fashion, he spared no expletives in telling MLFootball how Las Vegas ruined his first Christmas with his new beau.

The tight end explained, “We got out a** beat by the f****** Raiders on Christmas” before adding that the surprising defeat ruined the holiday.

Kelce noted that the Raiders, under new head coach Antonio Pierce, were ready to brawl from the first snap.

The star, who signed an extension with the Chiefs this offseason, expressed his admiration for Las Vegas’ style and aggressiveness on the field.

Kelce declared that if the Chiefs played with that kind of edge, they could not be stopped.

It wasn’t as though the Raiders ran the home team out of Arrowhead Stadium and into their Christmas celebrations.

But the Chiefs watched helplessly as two defensive scores sealed the day for the visitors – a second-quarter short fumble return followed just moments later by a pick-six.

Even spending his first Christmas with Taylor Swift could not erase the bitter disappointment of losing at home to the Raiders.
