Trent Alexander-Arnold’s highly anticipated transfer to Real Madrid has not unfolded as expected since his controversial move to the club.
After making the switch to Los Blancos as a free agent, which has upset many Liverpool supporters, Alexander-Arnold was expected to quickly claim the right-back position at the club.
However, his challenging start in Spain has led to speculation about a potential and unexpected return to the Premier League.
Premier League Clubs Showing Interest in Alexander-Arnold
As reported by the Spanish media outlet Defensa Central, several major Premier League teams are closely observing Alexander-Arnold’s situation at Real Madrid.
Clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make offers around €40 million to bring the defender back to England during the upcoming summer transfer window.
From a financial standpoint, this would be a lucrative transaction for Real Madrid, considering they signed the 27-year-old for very little only a few months ago. A sale for €40 million would yield a substantial profit.
Additionally, the report indicates that these English clubs are gauging the situation to see if either Real Madrid’s patience or the player’s determination is waning after his sluggish start.
