The Jacksonville Jaguars have a lot of quality playmakers on offense around Pro Bowl quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Despite losing former 1,000-yard wide receiver Calvin Ridley, the wide receiver core is really deep.
Another 1,000-yard wide receiver in Christian Kirk is the team’s No. 1 wide receiver.
Free agent deep threat Gabe Davis was signed over from Buffalo earlier this offseason.
All-SEC receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was drafted out of LSU in the first round in April’s NFL Draft by Jacksonville as well.
Despite the wide receiver room being deep, that hasn’t swayed Lawrence’s belief in former undrafted rookie Elijah Cooks.
“He’s great…He blew us away in camp…I think he’s had a great year…He’s made of the right stuff,” Lawrence recently told Nevada Sports Net at Lake Tahoe.
“I’m excited to see him continue to develop.”

After making the team last year after going undrafted out of San Jose State, he caught three passes for 38 yards in nine games.
Now that Cooks was able to get his foot in the door as a rookie, he has the chance to take an even bigger step as an NFL sophomore.
Lawrence also has a two-time Pro Bowl tight in Evan Engram at his disposal, as well as a 1,000-yard running back in his former Clemson teammate Travis Etienne.
There is no question that Jacksonville has a talented offense.
They just need to put the right puzzle pieces together.
