Tennis fans in the Middle East were treated to almost a month of thrilling matches, starting with the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha, followed by the ATP 500 event in the same city and a WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai.

Daniil Medvedev is the top seed in Dubai, looking to regain his solid form after reaching the quarter-finals at the Qatar Open, where he had to withdraw against Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The Russian player will face Jan Lennard Struff in the first round, as there are no byes for seeded players. The ATP 500 events are known for their tough draws, which second-seeded Alex de Minaur will soon discover.
