The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently not playing their best ball.

While they are, technically, in first place of the NL West division, their win-loss record stands at 13-11.

The whole world knows they will be better than this with time, but as of right now, they haven’t shown their best version.

Why are people so confident that the Dodgers will eventually be okay?

Mainly because of the talent on their roster.

As an example, we will show this bit of data brought to us by Codify Baseball.

“Mookie Betts is 1st in MLB with a 1.103 OPS. Shohei Ohtani is 2nd in MLB with a 1.094 OPS,” they tweeted.

When you have the first and second-ranked hitters in baseball by OPS, things will be fine.

Betts and Ohtani both have contact, power, on-base ability, and even speed, not to mention an incredible drive to win and succeed.

Their offensive capacity is much, much better than the average, and it will start showing up in games more often and help the Dodgers win some contests before you know it.

In fact, it’s not crazy to think that Betts and Ohtani can stay this hot for the entire season and fight for the NL MVP award.

Both are former MVP award winners, and if one of them does take the award home, he would join the exclusive club of players who have won it in both leagues.

It will be, without a doubt, one of the most exciting storylines to follow during the 2024 campaign.
