The Miami Dolphins made a huge move last offseason.
Trading for Jalen Ramsey to get him back to Florida was expected to be what turned their struggling secondary defense into a force.
Unfortunately, he suffered an injury before the start of the season, and he was on the shelf to start the year.
Ramsey hit the ground running as soon as he was able to take the field, and the Dolphins’ defense took a huge leap forward upon his comeback.
He’s one of the best defensive backs the game has seen in recent years, and, according to his résumé and his teammate Tyreek Hill, he should be considered a Hall of Famer already.

Truth be told, it’s hard to deny that statement, as the 29-year-old is already a Super Bowl champion, three-time First-team All-Pro, seven-time Pro Bowler, and a former member of the All-Rookie team.
The Dolphins have thrived offensively since Mike McDaniel took over as their head coach, but the defense is still an area of improvement.
Hopefully, with a fully healthy Ramsey and the players buying into Anthony Weaver’s system, they’ll finally be able to turn back to their defensive expertise from the Brian Flores era.
But even if that’s not the case and Ramsey’s career takes a U-turn at this point, he should still be in line for that golden jacket at one point in the future.
