United States Men’s National Team reveals 27-man roster for June squad

USMNT 27-man June roster announced

The June roster is here. Today, U.S. Soccer announced the 27-man roster for the United States Men’s National Team ahead of two friendlies to prepare for Copa América. The team will report to Washington, DC on May 28th.

The roster will come together for friendlies against Colombia on June 8th in the DC area and on June 12th against Brazil in Orlando. For the most part, it will be the pool that USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter selects the final roster for Copa América, which is due June 15th. The final Copa América roster must be a minimum of 23 players but can have up to 26 players.

“This summer presents an opportunity for us to progress and grow as a team as we continue to build towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” Berhalter said in a statement. “We have a talented group of players and are excited about the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the world.”

Forward Josh Sargent is named to the roster after having to withdraw from camp for the Concacaf Nations League Finals due to injury. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Luca de la Torre, and Sean Johnson also make their first appearances of the year in USMNT camp. The most notable omission is Sergiño Dest, who will miss at least the rest of 2024 with a torn ACL suffered while on loan with PSV Eindhoven a few weeks ago.
