University of Limerick – MSc Applied Sports Coaching


The Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick is currently recruiting coaches for the MSc in Applied Sports Coaching.

The programme invites applications from experienced coaches who are interested in engaging with peers from a diverse range of sports to accelerate the development of their coaching practice.

Gain entry on the basis of your coaching experience

Entry routes are available for those with an undergraduate degree, and those without a degree who are applying on the basis of their prior coaching experience (recognition of prior learning).

Experience a blended delivery

The programme is predominantly delivered online, although there are 3-4 on-campus contact days each semester. Further details are available in this FAQ.

When are applications due?

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis, and places awarded based on the calibre of application until the course is full. Dates for upcoming reviews to consider applications are:
