2025 Puskas and Marta Award Nominees Announced
FIFA has revealed the nominees for the 2025 Puskas and Marta Awards, which honor the most spectacular goals in men’s and women’s football, respectively, from August 11, 2024, to August 2, 2025. These awards will be presented during The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony held in Switzerland each January.
The Puskas Award historically recognized remarkable goals scored across the sport, but the introduction of the Marta Award in 2024 allowed for a specific acknowledgment of excellence in women’s football. Notably, Brazilian football legend Marta won the inaugural Marta Award and is again a contender this year.
The selection process for both awards incorporates votes from fans and evaluations from a panel of FIFA specialists.
