The United States Men’s National Team are headed back to St. Louis. Today, U.S. Soccer announced that the home leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals is set for November 18th at CITYPark in St. Louis.
It will be the first home match in an official competition for new coach Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently hired as the USMNT head coach. That competition is the Concacaf Nations League, which has only been won by the United States in its 3 previous editions. The USMNT received a bye through group play and will play a team to be determined in home and road legs during the November window.
“This competition is an important part of our preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup,“ Mauricio Pochettino said in a statement. “As the holders, we want to defend this title and build this winning mentality.”

The USMNT have been to CITYPark twice previously, both of them shutout victories in 2023. They beat St. Kitts & Nevis in the 2023 Gold Cup group stage 6-0, while they also defeated Uzbekistan 3-0 in a friendly in September 2023. Historically, the United States has an 8W-1L-3D record in matches in St. Louis.
“I am aware of the big soccer history of St. Louis and its impact on the National Team, so the new members of the staff are looking forward to visiting the city for ourselves and experiencing the atmosphere at the stadium,” Pochettino said. The city will now be the scene for the USMNT defending their Concacaf Nations League crown.
