Let’s go on a journey. Lots of club soccer has been played over this past week since the international break wrapped up. Let’s get to the highlights for all the USMNT players!
- Ted Ku-DiPietro played 78 minutes and scored this goal for DC United in a 2-2 draw with Toronto. His goal went past Sean Johnson, who played the full 90 for Toronto FC.
- Former US U20 midfielder Chris Durkin opened the scoring for St. Louis City with this banger past Drake Callender. Callender played the full 90 for Miami, allowing 3 goals. Benja Cremaschi subbed on for Miami in the 30th minute.
- John Tolkin started for the New York Red Bulls and scored this beautiful free kick – the only goal in their 1-0 win over Orlando City.
- Quinn Sullivan subbed on for the Philadelphia Union in the 46th minute and provided this assist provided this assist in 2-2 draw with CF Montreal Impact.
- Brian Gutiérrez started for the Chicago Fire and set up this goal in the 32nd minute before scoring the game-winning goal against the LA Galaxy in the 61st. Chris Brady played the full 90 in net for the Fire, allowing one goal (a Riqui Puig penalty).
- Esmir Bajraktarevic started for the New England Revolution and scored in their 2-1 win over Nashville SC. Walker Zimmerman and Shaq Moore both went the full 90 for Nashville.
- Patrick Schulte and Aidan Morris both went 90 for the Columbus Crew as the Crew lost 0-3 to Pachuca in the Concacaf Champions Cup final (highlights), missing out on a trip to the Club World Cup. Schulte made 5 saves, but did allow the 3 Pachuca goals.
- Djordje Mihailovic scored this goal for the Colorado Rapids in their 1-2 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
- Mark McKenzie went 90 as captain in Genk’s 0-1 loss to Gent in Belgium’s Conference League Playoff final.
- Tanner Tessmann and Gianluca Busio both started in Venezia’s second-leg Serie A promotion playoff at home against Cremonese. Busio got the assist 24′ assist to put Venezia up 1-0 on the day (and on aggregate). Busio came off injured in the 59th minute, Tessmann played the full 90. Venezia held on to the 1-0 lead until the final whistle – they’ve earned promotion, and will be playing in Serie A this fall!
