On the 6th anniversary of #SaveTheCrew becoming #SavedTheCrew, the USMNT faced off against Panama in Austin, Texas at Q2 Stadium. Despite high hopes, the USA delivered a vintage performance against Panama. The first half was slow, but a brilliant team goal early in the second half put the USA ahead 1-0, with a last-minute goal from Ricardo Pepi securing a 2-0 victory.

The lineup under Mauricio Pochettino featured some changes, including Aiden Morris, Gianluca Busio, Yunus Musah, and Josh Sargent.

Panama set up in a 5-4-1 formation that shifted to a 9-0-1 when not in possession.

The USA started aggressively and pressed strongly, but struggled to create threatening chances. Both teams went into halftime tied at nil-nil.

In the second half, the USMNT improved possession but found it difficult to break down Panama’s defense.

Pochettino’s halftime talk seemed to have an impact as the team played better, culminating in a beautiful team goal early in the second half.

The game became more open after the goal, with Panama showing more attacking intent.

Several substitutions were made in the 67th minute, with more changes following later in the match.

Panama had some chances, but Matt Turner’s saves and solid defending kept the USA ahead.

The USA sealed the victory with a second goal, showcasing another impressive display of open play.

The team’s performance bodes well for future matches, including the upcoming game against Mexico.
