USWNT Announces January Futures Camp with Emma Hayes Focusing on Future Talent

USWNT to hold a futures camp in January as Emma Hayes looks to the here to come

The USWNT has had a fast start under new manager Emma Hayes. The team won the 2024 Women’s Soccer Olympic Gold Medal and will attempt to build on that ahead of the 2027 World Cup. Critical to that mission is finding what role promising young players can fill in the coming years.

Emma Hayes announced that the team will hold a futures camp in January 2025 in order to assess youth talent. Previously, the USWNT held a camp for young players in 2022 but the calendar did not allow one to be scheduled for the past two years.

The current core of the squad is young and firing on all cylinders but new faces can always make a splash and get on the radar for future callups or push established starters to up their game. One of the qualities that makes the USWNT a ruthless side is that they are as competitive, if not more so, with each other as they are with their opponents.

Young, hungry players looking to build their careers and get established with the national team have a huge opportunity this winter. Which names are you hoping to see on the list of callups come January?
