A pair of Grand Slam championships and crowd-pleasing legends have been awarded wild cards into the 2024 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki are coming to California!

Tennis Express

For seven-time Grand Slam champion Williams, the wild card marks a long awaited return to the court for the 43-year-old, who has been out since the US Open due to injury.

Williams will make her first appearance at Indian Wells since 2019.

Same for Wozniacki, who commenced her comeback to the sport last summer, after a three-year hiatus that saw her give birth to her two children.

Wozniacki is a former champion in the desert, having taken the title in 2011. She also played the final in 2010 and 2013.

Wozniacki, a 30-time WTA title winner, has spent 71 weeks as the WTA’s No.1-ranked player; Williams has held that honor for 11 weeks, and has amassed 49 career WTA titles.

The remaining WTA and ATP Tour wild card recipients for the singles, doubles and qualifying draws will be announced in the coming weeks.
