Video Surfaces of Brian Daboll Expressing Interest in Trading for Jayden Daniels

Video Shows Brian Daboll Admitting He Would Trade For Jayden Daniels

The New York Giants had plenty of questions entering the 2024 NFL Draft.

While they still had Daniel Jones under contract, plenty of people thought they were seriously considering moving up to get a quarterback.

Giants GM Joe Schoen has had Jones’ back multiple times, but the latest season of HBO’s Hard Knocks has shown that there was more truth to those reports than they would’ve wanted to admit.

Last week’s episode showed Schoen trying to trade up to No. 3 with the New England Patriots to get Drake Maye.

Now, a clip of HC Brian Daboll admitting he would trade for Jayden Daniels has gone viral as well (via Savage).

This is far from a surprise.

Not only is Daniels a potential superstar in this league, but Daboll’s frustration with Jones was more than evident at times last season.

This was a promising partnership, and Jones’ body type made some think that Daboll could turn him into a bit of a Josh Allen or something like that.

That wasn’t the case.

Jones had the best year of his career when Daboll arrived, but even that wasn’t all that impressive.

Injuries aside, the fact of the matter is that Jones might be closer to a finished product than anything else.

And judging by what he’s shown since he entered the league, he might not be what this team needs to get to the next level.
