The Minnesota Vikings have an impressive cast of skill players on offense, but right now, one of them is in deep hot water.
Wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested nearly a week ago near Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of drunk driving after police officers found him asleep behind the wheel, and he is facing DUI charges as a result.
Teammate Josh Metellus gave a message of support to Addison when he was asked about Addison’s situation, per The Purple Persuasion.

Addison, the No. 23 pick in last year’s NFL draft, had a sensational rookie season, catching 70 passes and posting 911 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
In doing so, he has proven himself to be a very capable WR2 behind Justin Jefferson, who recently received a monstrous four-year, $140 million contract.
But even if Addison is cleared of all the legal charges he is facing, one has to wonder if he may face disciplinary action from the NFL that could result in a suspension.
After missing the playoffs in 2023, the Vikings went out and drafted University of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy with the hope that he will be a worthy successor to the departed Kirk Cousins.
While McCarthy led the Wolverines to a win in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in January, he played in a run-heavy offense, and he is now joining a team that was fourth in passing attempts last season.
Not having Addison by his side, even for a few games, would hurt McCarthy’s attempts to prove himself at the next level, assuming McCarthy does get some meaningful snaps this fall.
