It’s no secret that the Miami Dolphins like speed, as it has been the most consistent trait the team looks for when acquiring offensive talent in the draft, free agency, or in the trade market.

That’s why it wasn’t surprising at all when they selected Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, and a new graphic showed just how comically fast this team’s running back room is with the addition of Wright.

FinsXtra posted on Twitter how Wright’s blazing 4.38 40-yard dash time is still slower than Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, who each ran a 4.32.

Running a sub 4.4 40-yard dash is rare, as Wright had the second-fastest 40-time at the 2024 NFL Combine among all running backs, yet the Dolphins now have three guys in that category.

Wright ran for 1,013 yards last season on just 137 carries, good for 7.4 yards per carry.

He hasn’t been much of a factor in the passing game, but Mostert just turned 32 and is only signed through 2025, though the team has an out in his contract where they could cut him after 2024 with just $1 million in dead cap.

Wright just turned 21, so he could be viewed as Mostert’s successor at some point while also being an insurance policy in case one of Mostert or Achane gets hurt again.

Mostert is coming off a career-high 21 touchdowns last season and has overcome the injury issues that plagued him earlier in his career, while Achane missed six games last season.

The fastest offense in the NFL just got a little faster.
