Warriors Sign Usman Garuba to a New Contract

The Golden State Warriors have made the decision to convert two-way center Usman Garuba’s contract to a standard NBA deal for the rest of the season, NBA insider Shams Charania reports.

This move secures Garuba’s spot on the team’s roster and allows him to participate in the playoffs.

Garuba, at 22 years old, has appeared in five regular-season games for the Warriors, averaging 0.4 points and 0.6 rebounds in 2.4 minutes per game.

Furthermore, he has performed well in the G League, playing 21 games for the Santa Cruz Warriors and averaging an impressive double-double of 12.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
