The Washington Commanders may have found their future quarterback in Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 pick in the recent draft. With impressive skills and a Heisman Trophy under his belt, Daniels aims to lead the Commanders to victory.

Terry McLaurin, star wide receiver, praised Daniels for his self-motivation and hard work ethic. McLaurin emphasized Daniels’ track record of winning during his time at Louisiana State University.

During his time with the Tigers last season, Daniels showcased his abilities by throwing for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and achieving a 72.2% completion rate. He also set an NCAA single-season record with a 208.0 passer rating and demonstrated his dual-threat capability with 1,134 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns in 2023.

McLaurin’s presence on the field will provide Daniels with a reliable playmaker, as he has consistently surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last four seasons. Additionally, the addition of running back Austin Ekeler, known for his dual-threat skills, will further aid Daniels’ development.

Washington’s history includes minimal playoff success in the last few decades, with just six playoff appearances and two wins. However, with Jayden Daniels leading the way and a new ownership group in place, the Commanders have the potential to become contenders once again.
