Wentworth Club has revealed plans for a significant upgrade to its historic East Course, as well as the construction of a new golf academy and par-3 course.
The East Course, built in 1924 by Harry Colt, is set to undergo a renovation project aimed at restoring its heathland roots and preserving Colt’s original design principles.

The renovation will include redesigning bunkers, reshaping green complexes and fairways, and implementing a woodland management program to enhance sustainability.
Additionally, a new golf academy will be built at the club, featuring indoor teaching studios, a putting studio, an outdoor short game area, and a café with outdoor seating.

The golf academy will incorporate advanced game-improvement technology, outdoor hitting bays, and a new par-3 short course suitable for handicapping.

Stuart Boyle, Club Manager at Wentworth, expressed enthusiasm for the upgrades, stating, “We are dedicated to delivering a top-tier experience for our members, ensuring that Wentworth remains a globally admired golf and country club. The enhancements to the East Course and the addition of the new Golf Academy will elevate our golf offerings even further.”
