Concerns Over Bowen and Summerville’s Future at West Ham
West Ham United faces the potential departure of key players Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, regardless of whether they manage to avoid relegation this season.
The Hammers have struggled with consistency, placing them in precarious relegation battles throughout the campaign. This uncertainty has raised questions about the futures of several pivotal players as rival clubs see an opportunity to sign talent from West Ham.
Despite the threat of relegation looming, former Everton CEO Keith Wyness believes that both Bowen and Summerville are likely to seek new challenges this summer, even if the team remains in the Premier League.
Warning for West Ham United
Wyness predicts that significant changes are ahead for West Ham in the summer transfer window. He expressed his thoughts on the Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, stating, “Talks of Bowen and Summerville moving on began in January, and I’m confident they will depart in the summer.”
“West Ham will actively restructure their squad, regardless of which division they find themselves in. The club has consistently faced issues with stable management and the sporting director position, leading to friction between managers and the coaching staff. This turmoil is reflected in the current squad’s performances. It raises concerns regarding whether there will be a cohesive strategy moving forward into the summer,” Wyness added.
“The club is currently in significant turmoil, grappling with deep-rooted problems that extend right to the top. The coming weeks will reveal their fate in the relegation battle, but financial and strategic uncertainties are definitely present.”
Future Uncertainty for Bowen and Summerville
Aston Villa has reportedly begun exploring the possibility of acquiring Jarrod Bowen this summer. If West Ham avoids relegation, they will demand a substantial fee to consider any offers. However, a likely transfer frenzy awaits if they drop out of the Premier League.
Crysencio Summerville has also made headlines with his stellar performances in the latter half of the 2025/26 season, contributing crucial goals and serving as a major offensive threat alongside Bowen. His impressive form has caught the attention of leading clubs across Europe.
Should relegation occur, both Bowen and Summerville could be among the first to leave, as the club would likely look to address financial challenges stemming from relegation.
