What’s New In The World Of Equipment?

Brands are constantly releasing new golf equipment, from hardware to shoes, clothes and accessories. In this article, we will keep you up to date with all the latest gear, from TaylorMade Qi10 drivers to new Titleist golf balls or Puma golf shoes.

Ecco LT1 Golf Shoes

Ecco are renowned for making some of the most comfortable shoes on the market and they have really doubled down on this with their latest LT1 shoe release.

The sole features a new, ultra-light LYTR foam that saves weight while providing softness and offering lots of rebound, keeping your feet feeling fresh for longer.

This is embedded into the sole using Ecco’s signature fluidform direct comfort technology. The Fluidform process involves the sole material following the 360-degree curves of the foot in a liquid state, solidifying it into a soft and flexible anatomical replica of the foot.

Comfort isn’t the only story with this shoe. There is also a brand-new outsole that offers multi-directional traction and durability. The integral shank adds low-to-the-ground stability, and the waterproof membrane ensures the foot stays dry throughout your round.

The new model will be available in both laced and BOA options for men and women.

Puma Phantomcat Nitro Golf Shoes

Puma’s first shoe release of 2024 features a blend of bright, vibrant colours and new tech to drive performance.

The overall shape of the shoe has been improved by being built on a more anatomically shaped last. Most noticeable is the more generous toe box, which provides a better fit for a variety of players.

The shoes feature nitrogen-infused foam in the heel to improve rebound on every step.

The sole has a new take on traction with an innovative flexspike design. The uniquely shaped integrated cleats provide greater grip as well as improving weight distribution.

Full-grain leather uppers add a premium feel and are also fully waterproof.

Tour validation is great for a new shoe. Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland and others already have the Phantomcat Nitro golf shoes in play on the PGA Tour.

Shot Scope Pro ZR

Shot Scope is constantly innovating and updating its range of GPS products, and it is the laser which is the latest to benefit from an update.

The Pro ZR laser rangefinder has a new DuraShiled hardshell, making it more robust for the golf course.

Rapid-fire detection and an enhanced Target-lock vibration make this incredibly easy to use. These are combined with an ultra-clear LCD display and red-black dual optics so golfers can read measurements at any time of day from up to 1500 yards away.

The device has a built-in buggy magnet for ease of use when used with a buggy or trolley.

With purchase, golfers get free access to the Shot Scope app, where you can access aerial GPS maps of any golf course in the world.

TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x

TaylorMade’s tour balls have had an upgrade for 2024, and the tech is proving to be seriously impressive.

A completely new lower-density core material helps create a softer sound while also adding ball speed.

Ping s159 Wedges

Ping is back in the wedge game with a bang with the brand-new s159 range and I have to say they look incredible.

There are twenty-five loft/grind combinations across the Ping s159 wedge family, including two brand-new Ping grinds.

The wedges aren’t the only story here. The new WebFit Wedge app will also help players pick the right wedges for their games.

New Golf Equipment For 2024

There are loads of great new products from some of the biggest brands in the game for 2024 perhaps the most notable being the new driver line-up, including three 10k drivers.

Callaway Drivers 2024

Paradym was extremely successful for Callaway in 2023, so this year they have kept the name but added a new twist. The new Paradym Ai Smoke range features four models, the Triple Diamond, Max, Max D and Max Fast.

Artificial intelligence is one of Callaway’s superpowers when designing new equipment. It has brought us technologies such as Jailbreak, Flash Cup Face, and Ai-Optimised Club Faces. For 2024, Callaway has combined this with in-person player testing to drive the design of their latest drivers.

This year the all-new Ai Smart Face is the big Ai story. It uses swing dynamics data from thousands of real golfers to make the supercomputer Ai technology even more accurate. Swing speed, club delivery and face orientation just before impact have been fed into the computer to give it more information on how golfers present the golf club at impact and how the driver needs to perform to boost the performance of real golfers.

TaylorMade Drivers 2024

Cobra Drivers 2024

For 2024, Cobra is introducing three drivers as part of their new Darkspeed Metalwoods range. The Darkspeed family uses advanced aerodynamic shaping, meaning that every driver’s head has a different weight configuration designed to suit individual players’ requirements.

The Darkspeed range is Cobra’s first product to use AI technology. The Ai-designed H.O.T Face Technology has been used to create a face that has both optimised smash factor and ball speed data. From this, the reformed Pwrshell face insert is now 13% larger than the one found in the previous generation Aerojet drivers.

Not only has the face been upgraded, but so has the overall structure of the driver’s head. A multi-material chassis features a lightweight carbon crown, which is 30% thinner than the Aerojet driver. This lighter top is combined with sole plates and a reinforced titanium frame, which creates a more stable club head.
