His passion for golf started at a young age, accompanying his father to the local club. Matt fell in love with the sport and now spends every day thinking about how to enhance his game (thanks Dad!). As a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, he manages to maintain a single-figure handicap. While he proudly mentions breaking 75, he conveniently leaves out that it was on a shortened course during winter.
After earning a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire, Matt made the move to Leeds. Prior to joining NCG, he spent nearly five years with the Professional Squash Association, working on events worldwide.

Off the course, Matt supports Manchester United and enjoys running. In May 2023, he tackled the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, marking both his first and potentially last marathon.
