The New York Yankees have been enjoying some really impressive performances by their offense in recent games.

Aaron Judge is officially back from his early-season slump, Juan Soto never really stopped hitting, and Giancarlo Stanton is also hitting blasts left and right.

Early-season star Anthony Volpe is catching fire again, and is working on a 16-game hitting streak.

Evidently, he made adjustments and is back playing at a very respectable level.

His current hitting streak put him in the Yanks’ history books, at least when it comes to recent history.

“Anthony Volpe is the youngest @Yankees player since Melky Cabrera (2007) and Derek Jeter (1996) with a hitting streak of 16+ games,” Baseball Reference tweeted.

The stretch of solid play has Volpe with very solid numbers for the season as a whole.

He is hitting .278/.349/.429 with nine doubles, two triples, six home runs, and 10 stolen bases.

His OPS is a very solid .779.

Now, let’s take a look at how he has been playing during his 16-game hitting streak.

In those 16 contests, Volpe has been slashing a cool .329/.360/.543 with four doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI.

In addition to his offensive excellence, Volpe has been flashing the leather and contributing on the basepaths.

In other words, he is a dynamic player who can help on offense, defense, and baserunning.

The sky is the limit for the Yankees young infielder as he continues to mature as a player and as a person.

He is primed for a career-best season and has given the Yankees a quality shortstop solution for now and the future.
