Yankees Star Excluded from Friday’s Starting Lineup

New York Yankees star outfielder Juan Soto started Thursday’s game.

The game against the Minnesota Twins experienced a one-hour rain delay.

Once the squads were ready to play, Soto wasn’t on the field and was substituted.

Yankees fans were definitely surprised by manager Aaron Boone’s decision: the game was still on the line and Soto rarely misses a beat.

However, it was later confirmed he was going through some tightness and discomfort in his left forearm.

It then became public that he has been enduring discomfort for a few days and was playing through the issue.

He was reportedly ready to undergo some testing on Friday.

As a result, and with growing questions about his health and future, his name isn’t in Friday’s lineup.

“Juan Soto is not in tonight’s lineup,” Yankees insider Bryan Hoch tweeted.

Soto has been a beast for the Yankees this year, as he seeks a record-breaking contract after the World Series.

He has slashed an incredible .318/.424/.603 with 17 home runs, 53 RBI, and a 1.027 OPS.

He has been everything the Yankees have hoped for and more.

However, if he is injured, the Yankees would love to know in order to make the best decision even if it affects both parties in the short-term.

This could be something minor that requires just a couple of days, or something more important that requires several weeks.

One thing is for certain: losing Soto for an extended period of time would be a huge blow for the Yankees and could have direct implications in the race for the AL East.
