Teenage striker Camron Mpofu has confirmed his move to Manchester United from Reading.
Mpofu was first linked to United in May when it was mentioned that the youngster’s family was set to relocate to the North-West to support him in the next stage of his promising career.
It was stated that United believe that they have a “future star” on their hands in Mpofu.
A subsequent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Red Devils were close to striking a deal with Reading for the 15-year-old’s switch to Old Trafford.
According to The Manchester Evening News, Erik ten Hag’s side had been keeping close tabs on the forward for a while.
Mpofu took to Instagram where he posted a picture of him holding the United shirt with his name and the number nine.
He wrote alongside the photo, “I’m proud to officially announce my signing for Manchester United.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me on this journey so far, especially my family, the coaches and staff Reading FC.”
“The hard work continues.”
His father replied, “Go crush it young king. Beyond proud of you. We love you.”

Mpofu has represented Scotland and England at international level and is set to join United’s under-16s side. He made his debut for Scotland Under 15s against Spain in April.
At the time, he was one of only three squad inclusions from English club academies.
Mpofu has become the latest addition to United’s world-famous academy after Silva Mexes, who was acquired from Ipswich and Australian James Overy.
