Zalgiris signs Demetre Rivers in response to injury struggles

Zalgiris Kaunas has recently signed forward Demetre Rivers for the remainder of the season to address the team’s injury issues.

Rivers joins from Givova Scafati in the Italian league, where he averaged 10.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game in 28 minutes of play.

With key players like Arnas Butkevicius and Tomas Dimsa out with injuries, Rivers will provide crucial support and depth to Zalgiris’ lineup during the crucial phase of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) season.

Rivers’ basketball journey has taken him through various European leagues, starting with Pernu Sadam in Estonia after his college career at Mercer University.

Having played for teams in Hungary and Greece, Rivers brings a wealth of experience to Zalgiris as they push forward in the LKL season.
