Zheng Becomes First Athlete to Appear on Vogue China Cover

Whether on the court or off, China’s Zheng Qinwen – aka Queenwen – is a hot commodity. On Friday, the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist became the first athlete to ever grace the cover of Vogue China.

Seventh-ranked Zheng, who also reached the final at this year’s Australian Open, poses for photographer Wang Ziqian, with the help of stylist Vivienne Sun.

The photos get the Queenwen seal of approval.

“Very, very special pictures,” she said. “Completely different from previous photo shoots Llike the cover picture the most. I have really sharp eyes in the cover picture.
