In the UEFA Champions League final, Arsenal has taken an early advantage over PSG.

Kai Havertz netted a powerful shot into the net just six minutes into the match, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

PSG Dominates Despite Early Setback

Though Arsenal has shown solid defensive organization, they have struggled to gain traction in midfield. PSG has been commanding possession and generating scoring opportunities.

According to BBC pundit and former Premier League striker Chris Sutton, Arsenal’s inability to maintain control of the ball is a pressing concern that needs addressing to stay competitive.

Sutton remarked, “Since scoring, Arsenal has struggled to keep possession. PSG continues to press forward relentlessly.”

Arsenal Must Regain Control

Given PSG’s roster of skilled forwards, Arsenal may allow them to exploit gaps if they continue to retreat and struggle in midfield. With talented players in their lineup, Arsenal should improve their midfield performance.

To create scoring chances, they need to assume more control and not sit back against such a potent attacking team. Leaders like Declan Rice will need to assert themselves to regain possession for their side. While Arsenal’s defensive record has been strong this season, being too passive against PSG, who have been prolific in front of goal, could prove detrimental.
